Join Homeless Services United

Homeless Services United and our member agencies have formed a strong coalition with a shared commitment to promoting effective solutions to end the crisis of homelessness in New York City. HSU provides advocacy, information, training, and technical assistance in order to expand member agencies' capacity to deliver high-quality services. HSU provides valuable information updates on city, state, and federal policy and funding issues and also offers free and low-cost staff training opportunities on a variety of important and relevant topics.

HSU provides member agencies with a forum to come together and work toward policy change through our quarterly membership meetings and committees, which meet regularly to share best practices and plan advocacy efforts.

In addition, HSU enhances member's ability to recruit and retain a skilled and compassionate workforce. HSU worked with the Human Services Council to secure a multi-year cost of living adjustment (COLA), beginning with a 3% increase for FY09, for homeless services staffs in New York City.

HSU also supports member agencies efforts to recruit qualified candidates through our job posting service.

Homeless Services United offers a sliding-scale dues structure based on agencies' homeless services funding.
