Food Bank for New York City provides opportunities for individuals and corporations to donate food to community soup kitchens and food pantries. This website also provides information on organizing food drives in your community.

NYC Wastele$$
New York City's recycling headquarters. NYC Wastele$$ provides tips and information on donating various items, including but not limited to cell phones, construction materials, furniture, books and clothing. NYC Wastele$$ advises individuals planning to make a donation to contact individual sites before making donations.

St. John's Bread and Life
St. John's Bread and Life, a nonprofit agency working to curb hunger and poverty in Brooklyn and Queens, is in need of books in good condition for adult guests to their small library, which provides guests with books and computer access. This library allows Bread and Life to encourage and assist with literacy, knowledge acquisition, and the connection of guests with community resources.
